Farbod Barsum

I've recently been introduced to a very interesting handbag/acessories brand. It's called Farbod Barsum, named after the very won designer who creates them. Founded in 2010, Farbod hand selects the materials that are going to be used on each product. Aside from being handmade by master artisans, the elements incorporated in the pieces garner this attention as well. Custom hardware is hand cast and polished one piece at a time.
Another interesting feature is how the design house pioneered many innovations in the exotics industry. Namely, the brand invented a signature combination of the use of two or more different exotics on one bag. This evolved further with the extensive use of signature color blocking of exotics. Major international fashion houses have all followed suit and emulated this style.
Barsum bags were the first to incorporate Swarovski Crystals and Feathers on Exotics. They were also the first to source and implement materials in a couture level such as the use of fused ostrich leg panels and Pirarucu fish skin.
The wearable art concept of Barsum bags transforms exceptionally rare materials and adapts them for use in every day life.

The brand seemed really well developed, and while I initially thought they might be an indie type of brand, I was surprised to find that they are actually very popular, especially around very famous costumers. Since they are based in Beverly Hills, they have a very sophisticated list of people using their handbags, you can actually see all the celebs that use them in this page here.

While clearly an established brand, it definitely seems like they still have a lot of groundwork and can definitely expand further into new areas, and many even in the feature create new lines of accessories. Be sure to check out their women's lizard skin wallets, their alligator skin clutches (my personal favorites), or just check out their whole line of merchandise on Farbod Barsum.

The first thing I noticed about StyleWe, right off the bat, is the amazing selection of products that they carry. A lot of them have very intricate and special designs that I had never seen before on an online store. This specifically called my attention, since, let's be real, most online stores tend to carry the same selection of products. StyleWe is different, and you can tell by their about us page:

StyleWe is an online fashion shopping platform featuring independent fashion designers. We are committed to providing shoppers with original, high quality, and exclusive fashion products from independent designers.
By working with cutting edge independent fashion designers from around the
world, and combining them with our high quality production and digital marketing
capabilities, we will turn the fashion designers’ dreams into reality by providing high fashion to customers worldwide.
Rather than just an online shopping store, we would like to create a community which will be shared by both designers and customers. The community will enable
all parties to communicate, share ideas, and recognise each other. It would not only provide instant feedback for fashion designers when launching new concepts or products, but would also allow customers to share their shopping experiences and fashion dreams.
And that's just one part of the description! It's really interesting to see an online store give a different approach to the term. Right now I'm definitely considering getting a floral romper like the ones pictured here, or since spring is going to come around soon maybe a halter top bikini. If you're interested in StyleWe, you can check out their Instagram and their blog.

I Want Candy

Oh. My. God.

That, my friends, was my exact reaction when I first entered Apparel Candy. Well, maybe not my instant first but definitely the one I made when I entered the sunglasses sections. Apparel Candy is  a recently launched website that sells discount wholesale clothing. They recently reached out to me in hopes of a collaboration and I'm very proud to say that I probably picked the best company to do my first collaboration with!
At first I decided to check out the page before agreeing and the first thing that caught my attention was the awesome design of the page. It's very sleek and easy to browse around on. Another cool thing that drew my attention is that even though it's a wholesale site, you can find tons of clothing that you normally wouldn't find on other wholesale pages. Just by looking around at the sweaters, tops, rompers (which are seriously lovely as hell), and my personal favorites, the shorts, you could see that a lot of the clothes that they carry are very unique and different from most websites that manage wholesale. Another great thing is that if you're not a company or a looking to open a boutique is that you can still by stuff by their unitary price at the same low cost.
All in all, though, the thing I legitimately feel in love with is their sunglasses. Mainly because I'm obsessed with accessories, so I do tend to drift to that section first, but I also adore the tons of variety of sunglasses that they have. For real, I'm impressed at how completely different and versatile all of the styles are, but the designs in themselves are very unique and impressive. Right now I'm still browsing around the accessories page to decide how many pair of sunglasses I can afford at the moment lol. So yeah, give yourselves a spin around the page! You won't regret it, trust me.
